High-End Lip Products

There are two types of beauty products that I always love buying no matter how much of them I have: mascara and lip gloss (or balms). I was browsing through Nordstrom’s website when I noticed a ton of new lip products and three products instantly caught my eye!

Clinique Pop Lip Shadow

The Clinique Pop Lip Shadow ($19.50 / .04 oz) is a cushion matte lip powder that comes with a sponge and a separate tube to grab the product. The matte lip powder is a unique lip product. However, does it apply evenly? With some practice, it applied smoothly and looked great.

I bought 03 Crimson Pop, which is a neutral red. Crimson Pop is a great starter read option that’s perfect for every day and going out. The lip powder is matte, so a balm is needed to keep my lips hydrated.

Chantecaille Lip Sleek

I splurged and purchased the Chantecaille Lip Sleek in Grenadine ($38 / .05 oz). This sleek hydrating, oil-based lipstick nourishes your lips while adding a stunning pop of color. It’s a neutral red with a subtle hint of pink.

There’s one downside, the packaging. The bottom has a part to press down, and the product clicks up. While it’s nice, the product doesn’t go back down. If you click too much, it can cause the product to break when the cap goes back on. For an expensive product, this shouldn’t happen.

The formula is luxurious. The application is smooth, and the product is highly pigmented and moisturizing. While it’s easy to find a more affordable option, Chantecaille is a luxury brand worth buying. Unlike other luxury brands, the quality is there.

NARS x Charlotte Gainsbourg Lip Tint

NARS x Charlotte Gainsbourg Lip Tint in 5950 Ephelide ($26 / .17 oz) is incredible, and the perfect neutral gloss. It’s a lip tint, but still more pigmented than most on the market. The gloss lasted a few hours before I had to re-apply, which is the norm when it comes to lip tints. The NARS lip tint is a better option for the price point. And it’s my favorite out of the three products reviewed.

Overall Thoughts

All three lip products are great! Lip balms and glosses are my favorites, and I’m on the hunt to find new favorites. I think that could be the NARS Lip Tint.

Have you tried any of these products? Any new lip products I should test out? Let me know in the comments!
