SEPHORA surprised shoppers with a customer appreciation sale, and before it was my turn to shop, I decided to head to Oak Brook Mall and do a little pre-sale shopping. While there, I received a lot of help from Jenna.

SEPHORA Sale Pre-Shopping Visit

During the pre-shopping trip, I wanted to get matched with a foundation and get some information on skincare. Those are the products that I needed the most. Of course, I had to check out the O!Mega Bronzer Coconut Perfect Tan ($49) from Marc Jacobs, which immediately went onto my must-get list. What a gorgeous bronzer!

I mentioned that I was looking for a lightweight foundation since full coverage irritates my skin, and nothing with fragrance because of allergies. She instantly recommended two products: The ILIA True Skin Serum Foundation ($54), and the NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer ($45). She made a sample for me so I can test out both products before deciding on which one I want to purchase.

Foundation Samples

For skincare, I knew I wanted to try a few products from Drunk Elephant, mainly the T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial, because everyone I know who tried it raved about it. Like with a lot of skincare products, the price kept me from actually buying it. She also gave me samples of the C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream ($64), and the Shaba Complex Eye Serum ($60). She recommended that I use The GLAMGLOW Instamud 60-Second Mask ($42) as an exfoliant, and gave me a sample of that as well.

New Return Policy

Samples are free, and they are the best way to try something before purchasing it. With samples, you can make sure the foundation and concealer match, and see how the products work with your skin.

SEPHORA also has a new return policy. SEPHORA used to have the most flexible return policy, but customers took advantage, and now stricter rulers are in place. Returns need to be made within 60 days, and returns can be denied if you keep doing returns.

Sample Before You Buy At SEPHORA

Next time you plan a trip to SEPHORA, ask for samples. They are free, and the employees are more than happy to make them. Each sample gets a few uses, which is more than enough time for me to decide if I like it.
