When it comes to drugstore makeup, Wet N Wild is creating a lot of noise. The affordable makeup brand features a lot of high-quality products at unbelievably low prices. Not to mention, most stores have sales and offers coupons that will make your purchase even better. So of course, I couldn’t wait to grab some items from their newest collection– Pump, which is currently 50% off on Wet N Wild’s website.
Pump Collection – Face Products
I picked up two face products, the Blush Sticks ($3.99) and the connector ($1.99). I’ve been on the hunt for a cream bronzer, so I picked up the Partner Up Blush Stick in 131A Bare Balance and another Blush Stick in 128A I’m Glistening.
- Bare Balance – Bronzer/Contour shade
- I’m Glistening – Neutral peach shade
- Connector – Connects two Partner Up products to carry in your handbag or backpack.
To start, I like the idea of connecting two products to make things more compact and easier for traveling. I’ve tried a lot of products from the brand, but these were a little disappointment. The blush is a beautiful shade, and perfect for a quick and easy summer look. I wore it with my Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, and my skin looked nice and fresh. The bronzer, however, was a little disappointing.
The bronzer, however, was a little disappointing. The bronzer applied patchy. While both cream products are easy to blend, blend too much, and the products will go on too sheer.
Pump Collection – Lip Products
I’ve had good luck with the brand’s lip products in the past, so I had to pick up at least one of the balm’s in this collection. This time around I chose the shade 197A Coral Conditioning ($3.99), a sheer coral shade. The pigmentation is excellent, it applies smoothly, and it’s pleasant and hydrating. I want to pick up the shade Violet Victory.
Pump Collection – Eyes
I went with one eye product, the Keep Going Waterproof Sweatproof Eyeshadow ($4.99). It’s a sheer cream eyeshadow that didn’t show up much on my eyelids. If you can make this shadow work and don’t have oily lids, it’s a great product.
While I didn’t have much luck with the bronzer, this is still an excellent collection. They’re available online for half off, but even at full price, they’re still worth it. I recommend checking them out at your local CVS or Walgreen’s, which is where I’ve seen this particular collection.
